Beirut Drop Prayer Beads: Prices and the Wholesale Buying Guide

In Beirut drop prayer beads, price is set by resin quality, bead diameter, colour, metalwork and quantity. Here is how minimum orders, samples and lead times work in wholesale.

Beirut drop prayer beads have become one of the most asked-about models of recent years. They carry the look of drop amber, they are easy on the hand during long daily pulling, and they cost a fraction of genuine fossil amber. That combination has earned them a permanent shelf in tasbih shops and in the cases of exporters working the Gulf market. This article explains what actually sets the price of Beirut drop prayer beads, which line items are open to negotiation in wholesale, and how an order moves from quote to shipment.

What Are Beirut Drop Prayer Beads?

Despite what the name suggests, the material known in the trade as "Beirut amber" or "Beirut drop" is not fossil drop amber. It is cast from a quality, specially formulated blend of synthetic resins, and it takes its name from how closely it resembles drop amber. Getting this definition right from the start matters: mistaking Beirut drop for cheap plastic and selling it as genuine amber are two faces of the same error.

A good Beirut drop bead releases a light pine-resin scent as the hand warms it; with use the colour settles and the surface takes on shine. The Beirut collection at Novatesbih currently holds 38 models across 8 colour tones: cherry, amber orange, veined brown, brick red, ivory, smoke grey, honey yellow and light honey. Every strand is 33 beads, made in Türkiye, and finished with alpaca tassels and engraved metal detail. The cherry-toned No.01 model is a good place to start looking.

If telling this material apart from real amber is the harder question for you, the tests in how to tell if an amber tasbih is genuine let you make that call on the piece in your hand.

What Determines the Price of Beirut Drop Prayer Beads

There is no single "market price" for Beirut drop. Two strands sitting side by side in the same window can differ twofold. Here is where that gap comes from.

Resin quality and casting

This is the core of the cost. A quality resin blend yields a clear, bubble-free, homogeneous mass; cheap blends show cloudiness, trapped air and uneven colour inside the bead. Resting time after casting also lands in the price — beads cast in a hurry and worked immediately tend to crack over time.

Bead diameter and bead count

Material is bought by weight, so diameter is cost. Beads of 6–8 mm sit in the economy segment and 10–12 mm in the upper one; as the diameter grows, both raw material and labour rise with it. Strands of 33 dominate retail, while a 99 means roughly three times the beads in the same material. The standard strand in the Novatesbih Beirut series is 33 beads.

Colour and pattern

Flat tones — honey yellow, light honey, ivory — are easier to hit consistently and stay in stock. Patterned tones such as veined brown, brick red and smoke grey come out differently in every cast, and gathering a whole order in one veining character raises the reject rate. That is why patterned tones usually price one step above flat ones.

Finial, tassel and metal

This is the line item buyers most often overlook. Of two strands made from identical beads, one may be finished with a plain nylon tassel and the other with an alpaca cap, an engraved finial and a hand-wound tassel. The more metalwork, the higher the tier. It is worth asking for the difference between alpaca-detailed models and plain strands as a separate line when you request a quote.

Craft: cutting, drilling, polishing, stringing

The difficulty of the drop cut is symmetry. Every bead must taper to the same angle, every hole must run dead centre, and every bead on the strand must match in size. A hole drilled off-centre makes the bead wobble as the strand turns in the hand — the single most common flaw in cheap lots. We covered the traditional standards behind these criteria in the art of Ottoman-style prayer beads.

Quantity, packaging and branding

On the wholesale side, quantity moves the price more than anything else. Box, pouch, label and branding choices are then added to the unit cost. In corporate orders the box design sometimes competes with the beads themselves as a cost item; the options on the corporate gifts page show that split.

Retail Price Versus Wholesale Price

Novatesbih does not publish fixed prices on product pages. The reason is simple: in Beirut drop the price moves with colour, diameter, metal detail and quantity together, and no single figure represents any of those honestly. Send the code of the model you like over WhatsApp and current stock and price come back the same day.

Wholesale runs on tiered pricing: the higher the quantity, the lower the unit price. With no distributor chain in between, the price comes straight off the workshop bench. We explained the general logic in factors that determine wholesale amber tasbih prices; in Beirut drop the same logic works with a lower raw-material base.

How a Wholesale Beirut Drop Order Works

1. Choosing models and colours

Collect the codes of the models you want (e.g. NT-BYR-0001) in one list. If you are building a mixed basket, stating how many of each colour up front shortens the quoting time.

2. Product approval

Detailed product photographs and a one-to-one video presentation are shared before the order; bead diameter, colour tone, finial form and packaging are settled at this stage. Sample shipments are not active yet — we plan to offer them in the period ahead.

3. Tiered quote

Fill in the form on the wholesale page with your product group, quantity range and deadline, and the tiered price list and production calendar are shared within the same working day. Minimum order starts at 100 pieces for a mixed basket; a single model runs 250–500 pieces depending on the product group.

4. Production and lead time

Orders filled from stock ship in 2–5 working days. For models that are not in stock the lead time varies with quantity and material, with an exact date given alongside the quote. Ready strands are listed on the in-stock page.

5. Shipping

Domestic shipping and return terms are written out on the shipping and returns page. Abroad we ship wholesale only; customs paperwork, branding and transit times are broken down by country and city on the wholesale prayer bead export page.

Where Beirut Drop Sits in Export

In the Gulf market, Beirut drop is the strongest product in the entry segment. It holds its shape in hot climates, survives being carried in a pocket, and delivers the look of drop amber at an accessible price — which puts it forward in gift and bulk-purchase lines. In mixed shipments to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait, Beirut drop usually travels alongside pressed amber and kuka wood models, covering different price segments inside the same container.

Retailers planning regular purchasing get a separate price list and delivery terms through the dealership programme.

What to Watch for in Cheap Beirut Strands

  • Bubbles and cloudiness: hold a bead to the light. Dense trapped air means the casting was rushed.
  • Hole centring: hang the strand by its cord; if beads wobble, the drilling is poor.
  • Matched sizing: line the beads up. Visible diameter differences mean no sorting was done.
  • Polish: matte patches that look like fingerprints point to an unfinished polish.
  • Metal: if the finial and tassel cap change colour quickly, the plating is thin.
  • Honest naming: if a Beirut drop is being sold to you as "real amber", the problem is not the product but the seller.

Colour change is another point of confusion: Beirut drop settles and brightens with the warmth of the hand, but it does not age deeply the way genuine pressed amber does. You can compare the two materials in why does pressed amber change colour.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Beirut drop prayer beads real amber?

No. They are made from a quality, specially formulated synthetic resin that gives the appearance of drop amber. They are not cheap plastic, and they are not fossil amber either.

What is the minimum wholesale order?

From 100 pieces for a mixed basket. A single model runs 250–500 pieces depending on the product group.

Why is there no price list on the site?

Because price moves with colour, diameter, metal detail and quantity, a single list would not reflect reality. Send the model code and the current price comes back the same day.

Do you sell retail abroad?

No. Retail sales are within Türkiye only; abroad we ship wholesale exclusively.

Can I have my own model produced?

Not at the moment. Custom model production and planning around your own brand are not active yet; we are still working on custom production solutions for brands and regular trade partners.

In Short

What sets the price of a Beirut drop strand is not the name of the material but how that material was cast, cut, drilled and finished. Honestly described and properly worked, a Beirut drop gives a hand-feel well above its price; badly worked, it announces itself within the first month. On the wholesale side, never move to quantity before seeing the product in detail, ask for the quote line by line, and settle the colour split up front.

Send your model codes and quantity range through the contact page or over WhatsApp, and have the tiered price and production calendar in hand within the same working day. For questions about the wider process, the FAQ page covers the rest.
